WHY
PIEDMONTESE?
Piedmontese cattle are unique because they are “double-muscled”. Generations ago Piedmontese were dairy cows in the mountains of Italy. Today Piedmontese are bred for their unique beef characteristics – the cattle have more muscle (beef) per pound and less fat than other breeds, yet still keep the tenderness of the most select cuts of beef! It is a lesser-known breed that has a lot to offer for those who want a better protein alternative, have specific goals for their diet, and even those who might have some dietary restrictions OR for those who just want a great slab of meat that was raised right!
